Apparently Colorado isn't as conducive to apple growing as, say, the Great Lakes region (something about water...). But, boy, do they grow pumpkins out here! It seems that every county road has a sign pointing to another pumpkin patch/corn maze/etc. It is pretty crazy. Just don't get me started on the ones that charge $15 per person for entry... really!?!?!
We headed out to a (FREE entry) pumpkin patch this weekend and had a great time. The whole way there AG was saying "punkin" and it was cracking me up. This mama didn't really need more revving up for this - but my little pumpkin saying "punkin" just about did me in.
The pumpkin patch was great with lots of "donation please" activities which made me feel less like a consumer and more like a participant. I feel like the pumpkins were a pretty good deal, too, which is an added perk. Now our front step looks more festive courtesy of the pumpkins. And, it was really the first weekend of pumpkin patch "season" and I am already plotting to figure out how to drag Snicks and Addie to more of them.
