To Answer Your Questions...

Hello! We've had a few questions about little S.P. so we thought we'd take the opportunity to give you the lowdown on our plans.

Q: Are you going to find out what the gender is?

A: No way! There are far too few wonderful surprises in life and this is one that we have agreed on even way back in our dating days.

Q: How far along is Chief/when are you due?

A: 13 weeks today. The "official" due date is January 15th, but our midwife says that it will be within two weeks of either side of that date. We are thrilled to have made it to the second trimester. Check out the little baby bump in this picture :)

Q: So, if you're not going to "find out" how are you decorating the nursery?

A: Chief is amazing and has been planning this for years. Of course, that doesn't mean that a girl can't change her mind (which may have happened a time or two). We (she) has decided upon a bright and cheery plaid fabric as the primary theme for the room. Here is a picture with some complementary fabrics surrounding it. The aqua blue in the fabric also matches the walls in the room that will be the nursery. We have also already assembled the crib so that she can get to work on some of her projects.

Q: How is she feeling? Has Snicks had to run out to get food to satisfy crazy cravings?
A: There were a few rough weeks of nausea and exhaustion but thankfully the nausea is over. She also seems to have had a burst of energy in the past day or so - maybe the naps will become fewer and fewer, too. As for cravings, nothing specific, just junk food and carbs for a few weeks. Now she only wants fruit and veggies.

Thanks for the questions! We are so excited to move along this path to parenthood - it is crazy to think that this pregnancy is already 1/3 of the way through (give or take a few weeks).
