3 Months, 2 Girls, 1 Wild Ride

Three months into our new adventure as a family of four and we are still trying to find our new "normal".  We have learned a few things:

  1. Whoever said that breastfed babies don't have stinky poo/toots was wrong.  Our little CR can clear a room in 2 seconds flat.
  2. Having family and friends visit and/or help out is truly appreciated.  It really does take a village.
  3. Chief will cave in and eat processed food especially if it is Wednesday or Thursday (nights that Snicks is at class).  It does make her feel better to make Annie's mac n cheese rather than Kraft.  And cheddar bunnies are better than goldfish, right?  ;)
  4. Chief loves having Fridays off, even if just on a temporary basis.  By the time Thursday evening rolls around, she is ready to cuddle up with both of her girls and just enjoy being a mom.
  5. The iPad is great entertainment for Chief during nighttime feedings.  Thanks for sharing, Snicks.
  6. Grandma Winnie smelled like fried onions and potatoes - well, at least her house did sometimes - and a meal with those two ingredients evoked quite the memory for Chief.  AG now loves to smell potatoes and say "smells like Grandma Winnie."
  7. Two straight lines = a letter.  At least that's the case when AG is learning to write the letter "v".  She was bumped up to the preschool room this week and we are anxious to see how it goes.  We are a little wary about it socially but her teachers all assure us that she's doing great.  She is rockin' the potty-training while she is at daycare... at home, not so much.
