Hoppy Easter

Life just doesn't slow down.  AGN is 15 months or something like that and the three of us are on the go!  We have been busy working on the backyard (as you can see a little of below).  My goal is to have it finished by the end of May.  Chief says that she is impressed already (I think she is just saying that so that I will put the moves on her) and we really only have about 1/3 of it done.  We started swimming lessons again with AGN and as always she loves it.  And honestly neither of us parent-types are complaining about the 93 degree pool!  Chief and I even snuck out for a date night on Friday in Ft. Collins while cousins K & S got AGN into bed.  It was fantastic!  And if you need a dessert place in the Fort, the Chocolate Cafe is worth the trip.  Our Easter weekend was nice although complete with cleaning and homework for the two of us.  AGN participated in the most out of control  disorganized egg hunt and came away with 2 eggs!  While that doesn't seem overly impressive it was twice the load that her friend Harper raked in and we passed at least a dozen kids crying because they didn't get any as we headed back to the car.  It was intense!

Enjoy a few of our latest pics and we hope that you had a wonderful Easter weekend as well.  Chief has been drooling for the Reece's peanut butter eggs and I must admit that the Cadbury cream eggs are in the 3 Musketeers category.  We both missed G. G'ma Dunn's rolls, but Chief was able to begin teaching AGN the pleasant joy of glazed carrots (she licked, sucked and gnawed all of the glaze off and chucked the carrots on the floor) - I couldn't help but think how productive that trial run went!

Easter is such a cool holiday and in a fun season - not just because it is Chiefs' birthday month!  It's about faith, family, friends, food, and fun - perhaps in that order.  We missed a lot of our families, but we have been blessed enough to enjoy all of those "f's" this weekend.

Mommy thinks this is nice but, what in the world is that?
Trying to wait patiently at her first Easter egg hunt.  We had a few false starts.
Not so pleased with the meager haul.
Looking cute with Daddy.
Addie summited her first (mulch) mountain in Colorado. And clearly loved it.
Playing in the mulch with Mommy.
While Daddy works... the girls play - I mean, work.
AG enjoying the fruits of Snicks' labor - a whole bunch of playground mulch for her to run around on.
Learning to clean/play with Chief.
Playing on her new sun chair from G'ma B.
Relaxing with cousin N and friend C after a long, hot afternoon of yard work.
