Making Our House Our Home - some light updates

Chief's parents visited this past weekend and to say that they are gluttons for punishment is an understatement.  The to-do list was long but we made a HUGE dent in it and are feeling great about the improvements that were made.  Here are some before and after (or in-progress) pictures for your enjoyment.
Kitchen in early process of wallpaper removal. The white stuff is wallpaper glue and the salmon is really old paint.
Kitchen - after first coat of primer and some sample wall colors.  We didn't choose any of those colors.  If you look out on the porch you can also see some great new pillows made by Snicks' G'ma.  They match the chair cushions for our outdoor dining table.
Master bedroom before.  Blah city.

Master bedroom after - still needs art on the wall.
Master bedroom view #2 - before
Master bedroom view #2 - after.  It is surprising how much the closet doors stand out now.
Living room view #1 - before.  The couch was in front of the fireplace to protect little AG's noggin.
Living room view #1 - after.  Walls painted and fireplace protector added (thanks G'ma!).
Living room view #2 - before.  More blahness.  Ok, blahness and bronze (on the curtain rods).
Living room view #2 - after.  It all just seems to work.  Chief is lobbying to keep the heavy drapes off, but we need privacy so they'll likely go back up this weekend.  She is going to spray paint the rods to hopefully update them a bit.

  1. It looks great! Next I want to see AG's nursery... I don't think I know what that looks like.
