Oh the Weather Outside was Frightful...

This past Tuesday Mother Nature opened a can of whoop-a$$ on the Northern Front Range (sorry to be vulgar, but it's true).  Our city was walloped with over 12 inches of snow!  Because most of the trees still have their (green) leaves, the heavy, wet snow broke many branches and trees.  The worst part was that it also knocked out our power for almost 24 hours.

Amazingly, the university closed (they had to, they also had no power) and so we had a snow day!  We tried to make the best of it, but by the end of the day were pretty tired of being cold.  Thankfully, we were able to stay with Snicks' cousins nearby.  They had heat, warm water, and tasty food.

We certainly learned a few lessons, #1 being that we were not at all prepared for something like this.  :) #2 is that AG doesn't know what a snow day is, she just knows she gets to hang out with both of her parents.  #3 is that we can survive without internet, tv, and modern conveniences if needed (but not without whining).
