The summer started with Snicks taking a trip to Italy with US.AAI for ten days. They went 3 and 2 in their five games (he is still over .500 as a head coach) and, though there were a few hiccups, he came home safely. He then left less than three days later for California and Colorado. He spent a bit of time with the Shanks (we miss you!) and then spent some family time in Colorado. He finally returned to Ohio just before the 4th of July.
C was able to spend some time in MN before a work related trip and ran a 5K at her alma mater. She also was fortunate enough to hang out with her darling niece for a whole day and make crafts (with C's mom's expertise) like princess crowns with her.

Over the 4th of July weekend, Chief's parents visited. We had a nice time with them here and C definitely appreciated her dad's handiness. It is so nice that they just enjoy walking around the town and eating at the many fine establishments here.
Following the 4th of July both of us left for Chicago (Snicks actually picked Chief up at the airport there) where we worked for a few days. Yes, we saw each other, but only had dinner together once! From Chicago, Snicks headed to MN for basketball camp and C headed east. C went to Philly and Tan.glew.ood, back to Oberlin, then to Connecticut. B spent some time in the TC, then headed up north with friends (see above) - we really miss having the chance to spend weekends up north with friends... THEN, we met in KC were C was working and B was chauffeuring C around. It was nice to spend l-o-n-g hours in the car together as we drove from KC up to MN.
Following MN we FINALLY both got home last Monday and are trying to unwind from the summer. B was surprised to see that C had discovered her inner designer and gave our bedroom a makeover.
Oh, did we mention that Chief had the flu for more than two weeks and is still trying to recover from it more than a month later. Jeez. It's time for a nap!
PS - Our computer got a facelift with some new RAM, so we are able to add a few more pictures to this post!
