Bunnies and Braves

Happy Springtime!

We are enjoying a beautiful spring in Oberlin, but the season did start out with some unusual weather (five inches of snow) for the Easter Bunny's visit. Luckily, our bunny was warm and cozy inside of the costume, unlike the children eager to gather up treats.

As much as we love Oberlin, it is nice to get away from it all for awhile. Chief has been out of town a lot lately with her job and visiting family. She had a great time at the National Main Streets Conference in Philly, then enjoyed her birthday weekend with Snicks. The following weekend she headed to MN for a quick organization project in her parents' newly remodeled kitchen and dining room.

After all of her gallivanting, Snicks insisted that we get away together. We waited for a "Last Minute Deal" and chose Atlanta as our destination. No, it's not the sexiest place in the US, but we did see a friend, visit another ballpark (no, we did not do the Tomahawk Chop), and have some tasty meals. We also took some time to visit the Georgia Aquarium (largest in the world) and the World of Coca-Cola.
